I’m Alexis Barron, currently a student at the Art Institute in Dallas in the Media Arts and Animation Program. Prior to joining the Art Institute, I was a student at Parker University doing an Associates in Radiology. I am currently working for Baylor Hospital in Dallas as a part time opportunity and to help cover my education expenses.
My strongest skills are hard surface 3d modeling and I also enjoy detailing various mechanical parts and objects; while, always keeping the greater vision in mind first. I enjoy designing products and thinking about the minuscule details. I have been influenced by artists like Maciej Kuciara from the film Ghost in the Shell. It has influenced my work by allowing me to think about details and various effects (ex. subtle textures) to build up richness in my 3d models.
I have good analytical skills and can also look at my work and others with a very objective point of view. My short-term goals are to continue to build up my technical skills in hard surface modeling and learn more about lighting, texturing, and rendering. My long-term goals are to be able to work for a company of great stature that will help mentor me and allow me to grow professionally.
